It seems an increasing number of humans want to “do good” – expressed in various ways – for example:
- Do something Meaningful.
- Create an impact (benefiting masses). Maximize impact.
- Help build a better world.
- Promote sustainable development
How and where does one begin a “meaningful” and “impactful” journey? This page hopes to be repository of ideas and resources for people intending to begin (or already engaged in) helping build a better world.
The about page at “collaborativefund” states:
… “doing good” became a driving force for building successful, impactful businesses.
This is explained nicely with a simple venn diagram:

A great example is https://www.thebetterindia.com. Would be listing more such projects here.
However, good intentions might not be enough. Even “being good” at something is not enough. Morgan Housel at collaborativefund.com shares:
Being good at something doesn’t promise rewards. It doesn’t even promise a compliment. What’s rewarded in the world is scarcity, so what matters is what you can do that other people are bad at.
Another critical skills is “selling” (read “selling your ideas”) – a related skill is “Storytelling”. Housel shares:
The person who tells the most compelling story wins. Not the best idea. Just the story that catches people’s attention and gets them to nod their heads.
Simplifying message could also help. Another rule from Housel:
Simple explanations are appealing even when they’re wrong. “It’s complicated” isn’t persuasive even when it’s right.
